Cristiano Ronaldo’s links to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr was first thought to be just a joke a Lionel Messi fan would crack on the dark alleys of the internet. To everyone’s surprise, however, the unlikely transfer turned into reality as the Real Madrid legend was announced as Al Nassr’s player last week.

Ronaldo penned a sensational €200 million deal until 2025 with the Saudi Arabian club. The Portuguese international has joined as a Free agent after his contract was terminated by Manchester United prior to the FIFA World Cup 2022.

The relationship between the English club and Ronaldo had soured following manager Erik Ten Hag’s cold shoulder to the legendary footballer. As a retort to it, Ronaldo took part in an interview with English host Piers Morgan and slammed the entirety of Manchester United club management and coaching.

Ronaldo then played in his 5^th World Cup with Portugal but failed to win the coveted trophy as his arch-rival Lionel Messi went all the way and took a humongous lead in their career comparisons.

Ronaldo then gave a shock to world football after signing for Al Nassr and would now join the Saudi Arabia team for the rest of the season.

Ronaldo will be unveiled in an official ceremony at the Mrsool Park on January 3^rd at 7 PM Riyad Time and 4 PM GMT. The ticket prices for the event are kept at 15 SAR and all the revenue is dedicated to ‘Ehsan’, the National Platform for Charitable work.

Ronaldo’s official unveiling for the Al Nassr club with be streamed only by the Saudi Sports Company (SSC) on their channels. The official broadcaster has already posted a video of Ronaldo travelling to Saudi Arabia for the unveiling event.

Ronaldo has always had a jersey number of 7 when David Beckham left Manchester United. At Al Nassr, he will get his preferred #7 given the stature of the player. Jaloliddin Masharipov, who earlier won #7 will now switch over to #77.

Ronaldo will be accompanied by partner Georgina Rodriguez and his kids at the Mrsool Park/ King Saud University Stadium. Club president Musalli Al- Muammar and manager Rudi Garcia will also be present at the unveiling.
