Cristiano Ronaldo's sister throws shade at Lionel Messi again

Cristiano Ronaldo's sister has made comparative comments on Lionel Messi again as the battle between the two continues to go on.

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest footballers of modern times. His rivalry with another great Lionel Messi has produced some of the greatest footballing moments and games. The two have moved on from Real Madrid and Barcelona but comparisons still continue to be made between the two.

Ronaldo now plays for Manchester United meanwhile Messi has taken to the Ligue 1 outfit PSG. Currently however they are playing for their respective country teams in international friendlies and the Nations Cup.

Comparisons however still continue to be made not just by the fans but Ronaldo’s sister herself. In a recent Instagram story, the sister of the Portuguese put an image of Ronaldo and Messi side by side with the former being bruised and being treated by medical staff. The image is from Ronaldo’s latest Nations Cup match against the Czech Republic. The 2016 Euro Cup winners won the match by a massive margin of 0-4 with Diogo Dalot’s brace and one goal from Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Jota each.

Ronaldo did not fare well in this match as he was left with a bloodied nose after a collision with the Czech Republic goalkeeper. Ronaldo’s sister used his image from the match with another image of Messi lying on the ground while his teammates clashed with the opponent players.

She captioned this story, “Strong people don’t need defending.”

The two footballers will be representing their respective countries at the 2022 Qatar World Cup which is starting on 20th November in Qatar. Ronaldo represents Portugal whereas the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner plays for Argentina. Both have had a glittering club careers but have failed to win a World Cup. This could be their last appearance at the mega event.

Cristiano Ronaldo will play his first match on 24th November against Ghana whereas the Argentinian side will face Saudi Arabia on 22nd November.
