Dinesh Karthik's comeback in the India Cricket Team has been an inspirational one. It all started when he was picked in by the Bangalore franchise for the Indian T20 League 2022. During the tournament, he was one of the best players in the team in the finisher role. The right-hander scored 330 runs in 16 games at an average of 55 and a strike rate of 183.33 including one fifty.

After this, the Tamil Nadu player was rewarded with a place in the national team for the South Africa series. Since then, he has been part of the team and has carried his form in a few matches. After being selected for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup next month, the two-time World Championship winner penned an emotional note for the Bangalore team.

The 37-year-old took to Twitter and thanked the three-time finalists of the cash-rich league. He also spoke about the fan support he gets from the Bangalore fans even when he is wearing the India kit. In the tweet, he thanked coaches, Sanjay Bangar and Mike Hesson.

“Thanks, @RCBTweets for being an integral part of the journey and helping me achieve my dream. Most importantly to all the RCB fans who chant RCB, RCB even when am in my blues representing team INDIA, I LOVE YOU GUYS. THANKS, @malolanr,@CoachHesson SANJAY BANGAR @basu2013 S SRIRAM,” Karthik wrote on his Twitter handle.

Dinesh Karthik didn't play enough during the Asia Cup 2022

During the recently concluded continental tournament, the wicketkeeper batter played only one game. He was bein left out or most of the games. However, with Rishabh Pant being a weak link in the team, the team management might think of including Karthik in the playing XI.
