High-flying England, after winning the first T20I comprehensively, were given a reality check in the second when South Africa defeated them in the next game by 58 runs. With the T20I series tied at 1-1, the third would be a series decider for the two teams.

South Africa, on the back of Rilee Rossouw’s 96, made a respectable 207 against a good bowling lineup in the second game. Reeza Hendricks also came up with a quickfire half-century (53 off 32), with three fours and two sixes to help the team reach a good score.

In reply, England were spun out of the game by Tabraiz Shamsi and Andile Phehlukwayo, who took three wickets each to halt the English challenge at just 149/10 in 16.4 overs. Jonny Bairstow was the top-scorer from the England side with a knock of 30.

England vs South Africa Probable Playing XI;

England Probable XI: Jos Buttler (c & wk), Jason Roy, Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow, Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran, Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid, Richard Gleeson, Reece Topley

England Player to watch out for:

Jonny Bairstow: The English right-hander is one of the most aggressive modern-day batters. In the first match, he played a knock of 90 and also was the top scorer from the England side. Bairstow can change the whole complexion of the game single-handedly and South Africa would have to get him out early if they are to win the next game.

South Africa Probable XI: Quinton de Kock (wk), Reeza Hendricks, Rilee Rossouw, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller (c), Tristan Stubbs, Andile Phehlukwayo, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, Tabraiz Shamsi

South Africa Player to watch out for:

Lungi Ngidi: Despite the presence of Kagiso Rabada in the team, Ngidi is coming out as the best bowler. In two matches, he has taken a total of 7 wickets. He bowled the last match with an economy of 4.1.  England batter had a hard time figuring out the right arm pacer.
