Team India are currently preparing for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. Recently, they defeated the Lankas 2-1 in the home T20I series. However, Suryakumar Yadav came up with a blistering knock in the last match. He scored 112* runs off 51 balls, including seven fours and nine sixes in the series decider. 

All cricket fans went crazy after seeing such a knock from the number one-ranked batter in the shortest format of the game. Fans have always compared him with the former Protea legend, AB de Villiers for his ability to 360-degree shots. Now, regarding that matter, the former Pakistan great, Shoaib Akhtar came up with a huge revelation.

Suryakumar Yadav has already scored three T20I tons in just 43 innings

On his official YouTube Channel, Akhtar said: “AB has his class. But Suryakumar Yadav is fearless. And that is the reason why he is 100 percent better than AB de Villiers.” Apart from him, Surya also impressed other former cricketers. While speaking on Cricbuzz, the former India cricketer, Ajay Jadeja said: "With AB de Villiers we saw, I mean he was one of the finest we have seen, no doubt. His (Suryakumar Yadav) consistency is a little bit more and I think what he adds with AB is that there's a little more power to his game. What he adds is the wrist work which AB didn't have. So the angles you were talking about, they were because of the wrists. both sides his wrists work better than AB also."  

Speaking about Suryakumar Yadav, he has played 43 T20I innings for the Men in Blue so far. In those innings, he has scored 1578 runs, at an average of 46.41. He has managed to hit three sixes with an overall strike rate of 180.34. In this recent series, he scored 170 runs in three innings, averaging 85. Surya has played 16 ODIs so far for team India. On the other hand, AB de Villiers played for South Africa across all formats. He played 420 matches where he scored 20014 runs including all formats.
