Eyewitness confirms the chat between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir during verbal spat in Lucknow - Reports

The developments in the heated spat happened between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir are taking an interesting turn with every passing day. Notably, the two stars of Indian cricket engaged in a verbal spat with each other on Monday when Lucknow Super Giants played against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 43^rd match of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League.

The videos of this infamous incident immediately started making rounds on social media and are drawing a lot of reactions from the cricketing fraternity. Meanwhile, a revelation from an eyewitness of the verbal spat between Kohli and Gambhir left everyone in shock after they came to know the exactly reported chat between the two veterans.

Here’s what the eyewitness revealed to PTI about the Gambhir-Kohli episode:

"Gautam asked 'Kya bol raha hain bol'(What were you saying?) and Virat replied, 'Maine aapko kuch bola hi naahin, aap kyon ghus rahein ho' (Why are you coming in between when I haven't told you anything).

"Gautam responded, 'Tuney agar mere player ko bola hai, matlab tune meri family ko gaali diya hai. (You abused my player and that's like abusing my family) and Virat's reply was, 'Toh aap apne family ko sambhal ke rakhiye'. (Then you take care of your family).

"Gambhir's final reply before they were separated was, 'Toh ab tu mujhe sikhayega...' (So now I have to learn from you...)."

Earlier, the eyewitness also talked about the entire scenario when things started getting ugly from the ground at the end of the match when senior LSG player Amit Mishra was there in the middle.

"You saw on TV that Mayers and Virat were walking side by side for a few meters post-match. Mayers asked Kohli why was he constantly abusing them and Virat, in turn, questioned why was he (Mayers) 'staring' at him. Before that (Amit) Mishra had complained to the umpire about Virat constantly abusing Naveen (ul-Haq), who is a No. 10 batter," said the eyewitness to PTI.
