Pakistan skipper and batting superstar, Babar Azam smashed his career’s third T20I century during the second T20I against New Zealand at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Both teams played this second of the five-match T20I series on Saturday, 15th April. The hosts’ skipper Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat first at the flat track of Gaddafi Stadium.
Babar Azam smashed a swashbuckling knock of 101 runs off just 58 balls with 11 boundaries and three sixes to his name. He also stitched a crucial 99-run partnership for the first wicket with star wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan (50 runs off 34 balls).
Just after Babar’s century, a section of cricket fans took it as an opportunity to come up with a lot of different kinds of reactions on the micro-blogging site Twitter. Some of the fans appreciated it whereas a few others called it his heroic only on the flat tracks of Pakistan and second-string international teams.
