Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's latest movie 'Jawan' is running successfully worldwide, breaking several records. Released on September 7, the Atlee-directed action thriller film has created a stir among movie buffs and is receiving immense positive response from the audience. The commercial entertainer, which broke the record for the biggest-ever opening in the history of Hindi cinema, also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani.

Jawan is a treat for SRK fans and West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell also wished to experience it. Russell's Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday (September 9) shared a video on its X (formerly known as Twitter) handle, in which the Caribbean power-hitter was seen as not able to hide his emotions while watching the movie trailer. Describing the film as "another big hit", the 35-year-old expressed his desire to see the film in theatres as soon as possible.

"Woww, So he's playing more than one role in this movie. So, I think it's gonna be another hit movie. Definitely like the action, the little funny sides of Shah Rukh. So you know, it's just the trailer, just imagine watching the full movie. Hopefully it's showing in Guyana and we can all go and watch it," said Russell in the video.

"It looks like a proper action movie. Always have some beautiful ladies in his movies and good actors. The action also looks very very impactful. All guns out, fighting and all these things. Go well, All the Best SRK. As soon I get a chance, I will be in the theaters," he added.

Notably, Shah Rukh, fondly known as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", is also the co-owner of Russell's IPL franchise KKR. The lower middle-order batter had a poor outing in IPL 2023, scoring just 227 runs and taking seven wickets from 13 matches. The franchise is hoping to see the old destructive Russell in the next season.

Coming back to Jawan, the box office winner on Day 1, earned Rs 74.50 across all languages in India, according to trade reports. SRK's manager Pooja Dadlani said that the film went on to become the biggest opening day in the history of Bollywood by grabbing Rs 129.06 crore worldwide.
