Among India's most talented young cricketers, Shubman Gill has garnered praise for the style of game he has been playing over the past few years. Shubman has a sizable fan base, so Sony Pictures India hired him to dub the Indian Spider-Man personality Pavitr Prabhakar in Hindi and Punjabi for the new animated Spider-Man movie Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, which debuted in Indian theatres today.

In an interview with Shubman for Pinkvilla, he discussed his enthusiasm for Spider-Man, his initial Spider-Man memories, his favourite Spider-Man, and many other topics. Shubman Gill initially said it was likely he would be interested in swinging across the buildings when asked what he would do if he were Spider-Man for a day in an interview with Himesh Mankad.

He then added a fascinating detail to a question on the Cricket World Cup, which caused the two to chuckle. The Gujarat Titans opener said, "I would want to be Spider-Man in the World Cup final because I would have spider sense and I would be able to catch balls," he said. Shubman Gill will now be seen next playing in the Test Championship final against Australia starting June 7 at the Oval and he will be looking to add to his incredible run tally this year in one of the most important matches for his country.

The movie had strong advance sales, and based on how it's doing, its opening weekend should bring in between Rs 4.5 and 5 crores net. These figures are respectable for an animated movie that has been seen in 1800 theatres in India. The movie would surpass Incredibles 2 as the highest opening for an animated picture in India if it finishes up earning Rs 5 crores, breaking the previous record. The movie is anticipated to gross somewhere around $200 million worldwide over its opening weekend. This week, Indian moviegoers will prioritise seeing Across The Spider-Verse, which is currently playing in a theatre near people in India.
