The Indian cricket team put on a poor performance in the World Test Championship Final against Australia, with both the bowlers and the batsmen turning in mediocre efforts. On Day 1, the bowlers missed out on a number of runs, which also allowed the Australians an opportunity to take the lead in the game right away.

India will tour West Indies in July

In an effort to move past their World Test Championship (WTC) final loss to Australia, Team India will concentrate on the 2023–25 WTC cycle as well as the ODI World Cup preparation when they begin a full-fledged tour to the West Indies in July.

Starting on July 12, the Indian cricket team will compete in five T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests in the Caribbean. The WTC 2023–25 cycle, which began with the first Ashes Test at Edgbaston, will include both of the Tests.
