Star India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been a phenomenal bowler, both for India and in the Indian T20 League. He is one of those bowlers who can swing the ball on both sides to trouble batters. Meanwhile, ahead of their season opener against Rajasthan in the Indian T20 League 2023, Hyderabad celebrated Bhuvneshwar’s 10th anniversary with the franchise.
Ahead of their first game of the 16th season, Bhuvneshwar Kumar celebrated his time with his teammates in the dressing room. The team made him cut the cake to mark the occasion. Notably, in his 10th season, Bhuvneshwar is set to lead the franchise in the first few games. Hyderabad’s newly appointed skipper Aiden Markram is set to miss the first few games due to national commitments. He is, currently, playing a two-match ODI series against Ireland.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been phenomenal for Hyderabad in the last few years as he has been the go-to bowler for the team. He has made his Indian T20 League debut in 2011 while playing for the Pune franchise. Although, he didn’t have a great season with them and was bought by Hyderabad in 2013. He has played a very crucial role in their maiden trophy chase in 2016.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar expects Harry Brook to perform well
Ahead of their season opener against Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar addressed a pre-match press conference. In the media interaction, Bhuvneshwar spoke about team combination and foreign players. He also spoke about star England batter Harry Brook, who is going to make his debut in the cash-rich league.
Speaking about Brook, Bhuvneshwar said, “So far, he looks solid. He scored runs in a great practice match. We don’t expect foreign players to play spin well. But he is very good against spin as well. He has played well in the T20 leagues, recently. We hope he continues that.”
