Gujarat Titans have become the first team to qualify for the playoffs of the Indian Premier League once again after the IPL 2022. They defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 62nd match of the tournament played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The visitors’ skipper Aiden Markram won the toss and asked the Titans to bat first.

Batting first, Gujrat Titans went on to post a decent total of 188 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Later on, the Sunrisers Hyderabad failed to chase down the target and lost the match by 34 runs.

Other than that, they also trolled the SRH as they have become the second team to get knocked out of the current season of the Indian Premier League 2023.

Talking about the entire action of the match between GT and SRH, the former batted first and scored 188 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the first 20 overs of the game. The star and young opener Shubman Gill scored a swashbuckling century of 101 runs off just 58 balls with 13 boundaries and a six to his name. Other than him, the number three batter Sai Sudharsan also played a crucial knock of 47 runs off 36 balls with six fours and a six with the wood.

Later on, while defending the target, the experienced and veteran duo of senior pacers, Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma scalped a total of eight wickets; Shami and Sharma claimed four wickets each at the cost of only 21 and 28 runs respectively in their respective spells of four overs each.

Other than these two, Yash Dayal also claimed one wicket for the Titans. Eventually, the hosts won the match by a margin of 34 runs and became the first team to make it to the playoffs of the ongoing edition of the India Premier League 2023.
