“ICC tournaments are the ones you need to win, we will try our best like any other year to have the best chance to win the Trophy for India,” said Rohit during the event.
Other than this, he also gave an update on star middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer’s injury and recovery from the same. Rohit feels that there are very much chances of Iyer joining India’s squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023.
"Shreyas Iyer is on the track to full fitness, so fingers crossed for World Cup,” said Rohit.
Notably, the 13th edition of the ODI World Cup is set to be played in India later this year. The tournament will kick off with the inaugural match between England and New Zealand.
