England’s ‘Bazball’ approach is currently one of the most-discussed topics in the entire cricketing fraternity. It all started after the Ben Stokes-led side faced a setback with a close 2-wicket loss against Pat Cummins’ Australia in the first Ashes 2023 Test. A lot of former cricketers, experts, and coaches are talking about this ultra-aggressive approach of the current management of The Three Lions.
In the same line of events, former Indian head coach, Ravi Shastri has also come up with a fresh statement over England’s performance and this entire ‘Bazball’ episode. Shastri expressed his wish to be an opponent coach against England’s current management with their Bazball and over-aggressive attitude.
Notably, Shastri is also impressed with England’s execution of their plans on the field and producing some thrilling and exciting stuff in Test cricket for the fans.
“I would have loved to be the opposing coach (to Bazball) and take it by the scruff of the neck and see what happens. It may not work every time and you need to see the conditions too in which you do it. I won't give it a complete green tick because I know there will be days when it will be poor. Only time will tell. But it's exciting because it keeps you on the edge of the seat and that's what you want in Test cricket,” said Ravi Shastri to The Week.

Later on, Shastri also spoke about the future possibilities with the Indian team. He also extended his gratitude to the Indian Cricket Board for a special role in his cricket career.
"I have always been grateful to the Indian Cricket Board because they have been the guardians since I was 17 when I played U-19 cricket. There might be times when you don't look eye-to-eye but that doesn't mean you forget them. So, if there's an opportunity to contribute, I will surely contribute,” stated Shastri.
