An accident during the rival clash between Tommy Paul and World number one Carlos Alcaraz attracted the headlines. It all happened when the home favourite star Tommy Paul accidentally hit the chair umpire during a serve in the match. Although he immediately apologized to the umpire for this mishap.
Subsequently, the umpire accepted Paul’s apology and said, "It’s okay, it’s an accident," which was heard in the video. The same video of this incident is also making rounds on social media; it also reminded the fans of the former world number 1 and Serb tennis legend Novak Djokovic, who was disqualified after such an incident when he hit the umpire unintentionally.

Speaking of the action of the match between Alcaraz and Paul, the former completed his revenge mission against the USA star. Earlier, the 26-year-old defeated the Wimbledon 2023 champion in the Toronto quarter-finals. Completing his revenge mission, Spaniard outclassed his rival in a six-hour-long clash by 7-6(6), 6-7(0), 6-3 in a nail-biting finish.
Alcaraz also spoke about his victory after the conclusion of the match and explained how he prepared himself for this clash.
