India- Pakistan game brought everything that the fans had hoped for. The Asia Cup match between the two cricketing giants treated fans with a nail-biting thriller after a long time. One instance from the pre-match show that is getting increasingly viral on social media features Wasim Akram, Gautam Gambhir, and Mayanti Langer.

As the teams were revealed, the trio of Wasim Akram, Gautam Gambhir, and Mayanti Langer were discussing their selection. The broadcaster shows the Pakistan team as Akram reads from it but finds something wrong. The Pakistan team listed on the screen stumped Akram as it did not show Shahnawaz Dahani in the playing XI.

Akram says, “I wanted Dahani, I thought Dahani was playing but obviously he’s not in the squad. Guys are you sure this is the playing XI?”

“So obviously I was wrong, I've been told by Yusuf Mohammad that Dahani was playing. So if the batting coach doesn’t know it means that something’s wrong somewhere.”

“I think Dahani is playing Mayanti.”

The feed soon cuts out as Akram points to the mistake in the playing XI. The three make light of the situation as they laugh about the mistake of the broadcasters. Shahnawaz Dahani played the game and actually performed well, hitting 16 runs in just six balls at the end. His quick-fire runs allowed Pakistan to get a fighting total on the scoreboard.

Earlier, Mohammad Rizwan (43) and Iftikhar Ahmed (28) played important innings to save Pakistan from a fallout. Pakistan could only reach 147 after losing all their wickets in 19.5 overs. India chased down the target in 19.4 overs on the back of a sensational 33 off 17 deliveries from Hardik Pandya.

Ravindra Jadeja also played a great supporting role with a 35-run knock off 29 balls to bring India out of a tough situation. Virat Kohli began on a positive note, earlier, and made 35 off 34 balls but still looked far from his usual best.

India in the end, won the match by five wickets with a Pandya's six earning the bragging rights in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022.
