With only a few days left at the start of the second season of the Road Safety World Series, India Legends have announced their squad. The tournament will start on September 10 with India being the defending champions. They had beaten Sri Lanka in the final of the first season played early last year. Talking about the team, it will be led by Sachin Tendulkar.
Virender Sehwag, who was part of the team last season, won't be playing this year. The reason for this is that he will be playing in the Legends League Cricket where he will lead the Gujarat Giants. Apart from him, most of the players who were part of the title-winning team last year such as Yuvraj Singh, the Pathan brothers - Irfan and Yusuf, Harbhajan Singh Munaf Patel, etc. have been included in the team.
Besides, players such as Abhimanyu Mithun, Rajesh Pawar, and Rahul Sharma will be playing in the league for the first time. Recently, Sharma announced his retirement from competitive cricket to play in the tournament.
