Indian skipper Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant century on the first day of the ongoing third Test of the five-match series against England. Rohit’s century helped India to rescue from a miserable situation when they had lost 3 wickets just at the score of 33 runs. Rohit also stitched an amazing partnership of 204 runs for the fourth wicket with the star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.

It is the 11th century for Rohit Sharma in his Test Career of more than 10 years. Rohit took charge of Indian batting when they were struggling in the morning of the first day after losing their top 2 wickets early at the score of 24 runs. Rajat Patidar also fell prey to Tom Hartley in the 9th over of the innings at the team’s score of only 33 runs.

Rohit also brought India into a dominant position against the visitors on the opening day of this very crucial Test of the five-match series. He scored 131 runs off 196 balls, with 14 fours and 3 sixes.
