Meanwhile, the former Indian opener and now the cricket expert, Gautam Gambhir came up with a completely different approach and big statement while speaking about Yashasvi Jaiswal’s double century. Gambhir also spoke about the way of coverage that media is providing to the youngster’s double century.

“I want to congratulate the youngster for his achievement but, more importantly, I want to tell everyone that let the young man play. We have seen in the past that in India we have a habit, especially the media, to overhype their achievements, give them tags, and make them look like heroes,” said Gambhir to PTI during an interview.

“The pressure of expectation gets the better of them and the players are not able to play their natural game. Let him grow and enjoy his cricket,” he added later.

Furthermore, Gambhir was also asked about the poor form of Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer in the ongoing five-match Test Series against England.

We should give them time as they are quality players, and they have shown it in the past with their performance. That is why they are playing for India,” he added later.

Speaking of the action of the match, the third day’s action is underway as India just lost their first wicket in skipper Rohit Sharma at the team’s total of 29 runs in 29.4 overs.
