Yashasvi Jaiswal once again impressed everyone as he continued his brilliant batting form against England in the ongoing second Test of the five-match series. Jaiswal attracted the eyeballs after completing his century with an outstanding six earlier on the ongoing first day of the match. He also batted brilliantly in the first innings of the first Test against England.

Jaiswal has scored 128 runs so far in the first innings of India, hitting 14 fours and 3 sixes with the bat. At the time of filling this copy, Jaiswal is there in the middle, alongside debutant Rajat Patidar, who is also playing at the individual score of 29 runs, with 3 fours.

The hosts India have scored 232 runs so far in 66.2 overs in the first innings on the first day of the second Test.

India stable after a shaky start

Speaking of the initial phase of the ongoing second Test match, the hosts’ skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss in the morning and decided to bat first. Skipper Sharma failed once again to impress with the bat as he could score only 14 runs off 41 balls.

Number 3 batter Shubman Gill and number 4 batter Shreyas Iyer also scored 34 and 27 runs, respectively with the bat to help India somehow reach a good total so far. England’s young spinner Tom Hartley and young debutant Shoaib Bashir have scalped 1 wicket each, alongside one wicket picked by the veteran pacer James Anderson.

Notably, England are currently leading the five-match Test series by 1-0 with a 28-run win in the first Test at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.

Coming back to Jaiswal, it is also the second century in his Test career since he made his debut just a couple of months back last year. The fans also lauded the youngster for his amazing batting effort in a very crucial situation for India.
