South Africa took a lead in the five-match T20I series by defeating India by seven wickets in the first match. The two teams will now meet in the second match of the series at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on the 12th of June. India will seek to level the series in the crucial match. The Proteas, on the other hand, will look to maintain their winning momentum and extend their lead even further.

Rishabh Pant, leading the Indian team for the first time, did not have the start he would have wanted. However, the men in blue had a great game with the bat as many of their batters did well. Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant found their lost form, while Hardik Pandya continued his excellent run. On the other hand, the bowling department let the team down as they failed to put the batters under pressure. They would want to work on that in the next match.

In the following encounter, India will not change their batting order but will make adjustments to their bowling attack. Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi might find a place in the team in place of Harshal Patel and Axar Patel.
