India vs South Africa T20I series: Schedule, Squads, Venues, Live Streaming, all you need to know

India and South Africa will be playing each other in a three-match T20I series before heading to Australia for the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Both teams are looking to fine-tune their preparation for the showpiece event to be played next month. Notably, the Proteas played a T20I in July while the Men In Blue has recently played a T20I series. The common factor between the teams is that they won their previous series.

India beat Australia by 2-1 and South Africa won by the same margin against England. Also, not to forget, both teams played each other in June for a five-match T20I series. The series was drawn and now, they are looking to win the series to keep the winning momentum going into the World Cup. Both teams will also play an ODI series.

Squads

India

Talking about the home team, they will be playing with the same team which played against Australia. However, it is important to note that they lost the services of Mohammed Shami before the series due to COVID-19. He was replaced by Umesh Yadav who had a horrendous game against the Aussies. Yadav is likely to be replaced and Shami is expected to join the team.

Apart from this, no changes will be made to the team unless needed. After all, the team is looking for clarity ahead of the 20-over World Cup. Talking about the players, they would like to cement their place before the final squad is announced for the World Cup on October 9.

He missed out on the entire tour of the United Kingdom. Also, it is important to note that some of these players are not part of the preliminary squad for the World Cup.

However, on the brighter side, the players who aren't part of the World Cup plans have the opportunity to change the team management's plans.
