The five-match T20i series between India and South Africa is all set to go underway on the 9th of June. The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi will host the first match. KL Rahul has been named the team captain in the absence of some senior players.

On the other hand, South Africa is all set to bring in their full-strength squad for the series. While a thrilling series can be expected between the two teams, here are the players to watch out for.

David Miller

David Miller has had a fairly decent run with his international team in recent times. Besides, he recently regained his peak form with Gujarat in the Indian T20 League 2022.

Miller played a crucial role in the team winning the title this season, scoring 481 runs at an average of 68.7 in 16 games. His captain, Temba Bavuma, has now expressed that he does not mind pushing him up in the batting order to get the best results.

Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik has crawled his way back to the Indian team in the shortest format. He had a successful season with Bangalore in the cash-rich league. Karthik had a brilliant run with the team in the recently concluded Indian T20 League 2022.

He played the role of the finisher and lived up to it completely, scoring 330 runs at an average of 55 in 16 games. He also had a brilliant strike rate of 183.33 in the season. The keeper-batter would want to continue his form in the upcoming series.

Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal was in a difficult situation ahead of the Indian T20 League 2022. His place in the Indian team was to an extent, questioned. However, he proved everyone wrong with his excellence.

The leg-spinner performed exceptionally well for his new team, Rajasthan. He finished the season with the most wickets (27), earning the purple cap. He bowled smartly and would want to continue his form in the series against South Africa as well.
