Team India are currently busy playing the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Rohit Sharma and his men have managed to win two out of three matches so far in the tournament. On 2 November, they will be in action again against Bangladesh in Adelaide. But, on 31 October, team India announced squads for their upcoming tour to New Zealand and Bangladesh.

However, before the announcement, reports were there that senior players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will take a rest. While, Shikhar Dhawan will lead in ODIs in New Zealand. However, senior players along with KL Rahul got rested from the whole tour of New Zealand. Hardik Pandya will lead the team in the T20I series in New Zealand.

Fans have slammed the Indian selectors after the announcement of the squads for the New Zealand and Bangladesh tour  

Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team in the ODI series in New Zealand. Shubman Gill got an opportunity in both series. Even, Sanju Samson got an opportunity in those series. But, Prithvi Shaw again failed to grab a spot in the New Zealand series. 

Even, he did not get a call in the squad for the Bangladesh tour. However, senior players will make a comeback for the ODI and Test series in Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja will make a comeback during the series in Bangladesh. But, fans were not happy with those squads as they shared their views on social media platforms.

Hardik Pandya (C), Rishabh Pant (vc & wk), Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Deepak Hooda, Surya Kumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson (wk), W Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Harshal Patel, Mohd. Siraj, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Umran Malik.
