India's 15-member predicted squad for the 20-20 World Cup 2022

Recently, India had a mixed time in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. They started well with two wins in the first round. However, in the second round, they lost their first two games which is why they were eliminated from the final race. Now, they have only six international games before the 20-20 World Cup in Australia next month. They will play three matches each against Australia and South Africa before heading down under. 1. Batters

Some of the names in the batting line-up select themselves for the event. Players such as skipper Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav, and Dinesh Karthik are certainties in the team. Not to forget, Kartik and Pant are the two wicketkeeping options.

2. All-rounders

The team had all-rounders such as Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, and Deepak Chahar during the Asia Cup. However, Jadeja got injured and was ruled out of the tournament. At the time of his injury, it was speculated that he might not be able to play in the 20-20 World Cup as it is a knee injury. If that happens, Axar Patel can be a replacement. Also, it is quite possible that Harshal Patel might recover from his injury which is why Chahar might have to sit out.

3. Bowlers

At this point, lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah is out of the team due to injury. However, just like Harshal Patel, he might also make a comeback in the team. Talking about the other bowlers, Arshdeep Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Ravichandran Ashwin are expected to catch the flight for Australia.
