The Indian domestic cricket season is set to start with the Duleep Trophy 2023. A lot of new youngsters will be featured in this highly-anticipated domestic tournament. There will be some players to watch out for in the tournament. the list includes the like of senior Indian Test specialist batter Cheteshwar Pujara. Other than him, the star north zone player Rinku Singh will also be a key factor to watch out owing to his heroics recently in Indian Premier League 2023.

Meanwhile, the Indian Cricket Board has fallen on the receiving end of criticism from the Indian cricket fans. It is because the Board has decided not to broadcast this edition of the Duleep Trophy on television.

The fans took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and called out the Indian Cricket Board for not promoting domestic cricket. Some fans also blamed the Board for focusing only on the money rather than the promotion of grassroots cricket.

Speaking of the current action o the Duleep Trophy, the first and second quarterfinals are being played. Central Zone and East Zone are locking horns in the first quarterfinal at the KSCA ground in Alur. On the other hand, North Zone and North East Zone are taking on each other in the second quarterfinal at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The semi-finals of the tournament will start from the 5th of July followed by the title clash on the 12th of July next month.

Apart from this, the national Team of India, they are set to tour West Indies for the two-match Test series, three-match ODI series, and five-match ODI series. The selectors have already announced the squad for the Test and ODI series against the Caribbean side. The Rohit Sharma-led side will lock horns with West Indies in the first of the two-match Test series on the 12th of July next month.
