IPL 2023 is underway as the 29th match of the tournament is in action between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Meanwhile, the Indian Cricket Board has come up with a recent announcement regarding the venues of the knockout stage of the tournament.
Indian Cricket Board, on Friday, the 21st of April came up with a confirmation of the grounds which will host the playoffs and eliminator followed by the final clash of the ongoing 16th season of the tournament.
The first qualifier of IPL 2023 will be played on the 23rd of May in Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. The eliminator is scheduled to be played just the next day on the 24th of May at the same venue.
Whereas, the second qualifier and the much-anticipated title clash of the tournament will be played at the world’s biggest, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on the 26th and then on the 28th of May.

Notably, the current edition of the Indian Premier League is being played in its old home-and-away format. In this format, all teams will play half of their league matches at their home ground whereas they will play the other matches of the league stage on the away venues against the opponent team.
