The Men in Blue are taking on the Zimbabwe side in a three-match ODI series. The first ODI is currently underway. Earlier, skipper, KL Rahul had won the toss and elected to field first. Soon, the Indian fans saw the team sheet and things got a little heated on social media. KL Rahul and Deepak Chahar had made their return to the team after recovering from their respective injuries.
It was, however, the exclusion of Rahul Tripathi that did not go down well with the Indian fans. Tripathi is one such player who continues to be excluded from the team in favour of other players.
The talented batter has been incredible in the Indian T20 League and has knocked on the national team’s doors on many occasions. The right-hand batter has scored 1798 runs in 76 matches at a strike rate of 140.8 in the Indian T20 League.
Additionally, he has also played many match winnings knocks for Hyderabad in the Indian T20 League. He has been included in the ODI squad for the ongoing series but couldn't get a chance to be part of the playing 11 in the first ODI. Many, on Twitter, were not pleased with the management's decision to exclude him from the playing 11.
