Star Indian batter Shreyas Iyer smashed a brilliant century in the ongoing second ODI of the three-match series against Australia; the penultimate fixture of the ODI series is being played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Iyer failed to live up to the expectations in the first ODI after his individual innings ended with an unfortunate run-out after a misunderstanding with opener Shubman Gill.
He came again on number 3 to bat for India; this time it was only Shubman Gill with whom Iyer built an amazing and impressive partnership of 200 runs for the second wicket; this partnership came for India after they lost their first wicket early on the score of 16 runs when Ruturaj Gaikwad was caught behind the wickets by Alex Carey off Josh Hazlewood.
