The hosts, Sri Lanka are coming off with a win in their last super-4 clash and the rain-affected virtual semi-final against Pakistan.

Sri Lanka won the must-win super-4 clash against the men in green by a margin of 2 wickets by the DLS method. On the other hand, India are coming off with a close defeat in their last super-4 clash against Bangladesh. India couldn’t chase down the target of 266 runs and got all out on the score of 259 runs, losing the match by 6 runs.

Following the conclusion of this ongoing Asia Cup 2023, the men in blue will take on Australia in the upcoming three-match home ODI series before heading to the home ODI World Cup next month. The ODI series between India and Australia will start on Friday, September 22.
