Former legendary South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis was recently in action with California Knights in the just concluded US Masters T10 in the USA. He amazed everyone with his sensational half-century in the second qualifier against Texas Chargers at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Lauderhill.

Chargers won the toss and asked the Knights to bat first. Kallis came to open the innings with former Australian skipper Aaron Finch. They lost Finch early on the team’s total score of only 19 runs in the second over of the first innings. Then came the Kallis storm in the match as one of the greatest all-rounders of all time smashed a quick knock of 56 runs off just 22 balls with two fours and six sixes.

He stitched an impressive partnership of 96 runs with the number three batter Milind Kumar, who also played a quick knock of 41 runs off just 19 balls with three boundaries and three sixes with the willow. On the back of the brilliant knocks from Kallis and Milind Kumar, California posted a decent total of 139 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 10 overs.

Mohammad Hafeez's brilliance overawed Jacques Kallis' half-century

Former Pakistan skipper and star all-rounder, Mohammad Hafeez scalped two wickets for Texas Chargers, alongside one claimed by Imran Khan.

While chasing the target, the opening pair of Mukhtar Ahmed and Mohammad Hafeez provided a strong start of 75 runs in just 4.1 overs to the Chargers. Hafeez smashed a blistering knock of 68 runs off just 24 balls with three fours and seven sixes, alongside a 14-ball 40 scored by Mukhtar Ahmed with four boundaries and three sixes.

Thanks to these amazing knocks, the Chargers comfortably chased down the total only in 8.5 overs for the loss of only 3 wickets and won the match by a massive margin of 7 wickets. Devendra Bishoo, Ashley Nurse, and Ricardo Powell scalped one wicket each for the Knights.
