The forthcoming Ashes series involving England and Australia has received a major prediction from former Australia bowler Glenn McGrath. In the most recent World Test Championship (WTC), Australia won the title of World Champion. At the Oval in London, they outscored India 209 runs to win the match. Australia will begin their championship defence alongside this series while the following cycle is scheduled to begin on June 16 with the Ashes.
Since Ben Stokes took over from Joe Root as captain in the previous 18 months, England has played some thrilling Test cricket. The moniker "Bazball" has gained popularity under head coach Brendon McCullum, and captain Stokes has promised to keep the crowds amused during the Ashes.
The renowned player, however, believes that Australia will win the forthcoming Ashes series by a huge margin of 5-0. Given that the Australians will be competing away from home, it is a massive forecast. Australia won the WTC final, and after learning about the circumstances offered, he believes they will be confident.
“My prediction is 5-nil.” - Glenn Mcgrath
The former Australian fast bowler spoke about how he likes the concept of Bazball and gives his prediction regarding the Ashes. He said, "It (WTC) was a perfect lead-up for Australia into the Ashes, gives them a lot of confidence and to play in the conditions. So, I think they are in a good spot. England, there's a lot of talk about Bazball and I'm a big fan.”
McGrath continued by speaking about the kind of players they needed to follow this kind of approach as well as what kind of mindset is needed. He said, “I like that backing yourself, going out there, being positive, fourth innings to go out and play your shot, it's an aggressive mindset, and if you can get on top of the bowlers, you can score runs quickly and put the pressure back on them. My prediction is 5-nil."

Big joke. Australia got smoked in their backyard by india for the last few years. There’s no way they’re winning more than 1 test in Ashes.

3-2 imo. Australia will dive deep into data and stats to win the first 2 tests. Their plans will be exposed and then England will take Bazball to the next level in last 3 tests.
