As England finished Day 3 at 28/2 and leading by 35 runs due to rain interruptions, the fans would have certainly taken a sigh of relief after the Australian quicks Pat Cummins and Scott Boland took advantage of the cloudy circumstances.

On the fourth day, Joe Root and Ollie Pope picked up from where they left off, and the fans were eager to see if the duo will stick to England’s "Bazball" strategy or follow the conventional pattern like most teams do. On the other side, Australia would seek to maintain the momentum and restrict England for as little as possible to give them a chance to lead the five-match series 1-0.

In the middle of the innings, the former Rising Pune Super Giants player Steve Smith and Ben Stokes were seen catching up and discussing the game. The fans spotted this incident and reacted to this as the post went viral.

Here are some of the Tweets posted by the fans:

Australia need 281 runs to win

The English Bazball was halted eventually by some ruthless bowling from Australian bowlers resulting in the home side getting bundled out for 273 runs in their second innings. With this score, England set a target of 281 against Australia in the first Test of The Ashes. For the Australia side, each of Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon took four wickets to put a major break on the scoring rate of the English batting lineup whereas for England, Ben Stokes scored a scratchy 43 while Joe Root was looking fluent just like he looked in the first innings but eventually fell trying to score quick runs for 46.

Later on, Harry Brook also got out to a Marnus Labuschagne stunner after scoring 46. The other England batters, though, did not provide the three with an equivalent strong support. After bowling out Australia for 386 runs in the first innings, the Ben Stokes-led team enjoyed a 7-run advantage which they would feel are less considering the Final target.
