MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, the Neeraj Pandey-directed biopic about one of our country's most celebrated cricketers, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, is due to be exclusively re-released in Indian theatres on May 12 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The film was originally released in 2016 and the late Sushant Singh Rajput portrayed MS Dhoni in the film, which became one of the biggest hits of the year.
However, the film is set to be re-released in theatres for fans after seven years. Dhoni's biography, starring late actor Shushant Singh Rajput, will be re-released in theatres on May 12.
"Jab Mahi phir pitch pe aayega, pura India sirf chilaayega "Dhoni! Dhoni! Dhoni!" "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story" will be re-released in theatres on May 12th", said Star Studios in a Tweet.
Bikram Duggal, Head - of Studios, Disney Star, said in a statement, “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has not only been an incredibly special film for Star Studios but also for Indians all over the world, showcasing the inspiring journey of our most successful cricket captain. The re-release aims to give his fans across the country another chance to relive cricket’s most magical moments on the big screen.”
Why MS Dhoni lost his claim on Sushant Singh Rajput?
Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput received numerous honours for his outstanding performance in the film. He will return to the big screen with a smash hit, and it will be a joy for his fans to see him perform again. Notably, Shushant allegedly committed suicide on April 12, 2020. He was supposedly depressed for a variety of reasons.
Earlier, Dhoni had revealed how he lost his cool at Sushant during preparations for the film. Dhoni during a press conference of the film said,
"He (Sushant) used to ask one question repeatedly and if he gets a similar answer then he used to believe that I am being honest and then he used to go to the next question." He further added, "It was a bit awkward initially to speak about yourself. After 15 mins you get bored talking about yourself and I was like I need a break, I am going."

They should have made part 2 , post world cup win life and cricketing events , well it wouldn't be the same without @itsSSR , that walk of him from the dressing room still gives me goosebumps, as if Mahi himself walking in that movie , may he rest in peace, ॐ शांति 🙏🏻

That's the reason for more than half of Dhoni's fanbase and literally these guys have no shame, they'll use the sympathy card of SSR to gather audience this time.
