In an unexpected piece of news, India’s Nagpur Test star Ravindra Jadeja has been fined 25% percent of match fees alongside one demerit point for using an ointment cream in the first innings without the consent of umpires. Notably, the Australian media and a lot of Australian supporters tried to make it a sensation by accusing Jadeja of tampering with the ball.
But, to the utter dismay of Australian media and their experts, the cricket’s governing body ruled out the ball-tampering allegations on the ‘player of the match’ Indian all-rounder. Subsequently, the Indian cricket fans took this decision from match referee Andy Pycroft as an opportunity to troll Australian media.

Talking about Jadeja’s performance in the Test series opener against Pat Cummin’s men in Nagpur, he shone both with the bat and the ball by scalping 7 wickets in the match including a 70-run knock in the first Indian innings. Jadeja also scalped a five-wicket haul in the first innings. Notably, the 34-year-old made his comeback in international cricket after a long hiatus due to the injury that he sustained during the Asia Cup 2022.
Coming back to the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia, the former have earned 12 points after this convincing win in the first of the four-match Test series against Australia.
