On 25 December 2022, team India won the second Test match by three wickets. With that win, they managed to defeat the home side by 2-0 in the series. However, before this match, they managed to defeat the Bangald Tigers with ease by 188 runs. Meanwhile, in this series, eyes were on Ravichandran Ashwin as he had a decent match with the ball in the first match.

Kuldeep Yadav also missed the clash despite winning the player of the match award in the first game. In the first match, Ravichandran Ashwin scored 58 runs with the bat while managing only one wicket in two innings. But, Shreyas Iyer had a good game as he scored 86 runs in the first innings. His inning was crucial to steady the ship for the visitors after losing top-order batters cheaply.

Speaking of the second match, Shreyas Iyer scored a vital 87 runs off 105 balls in the first innings. Throughout that innings, he hit 10 fours and two sixes. His innings along with Rishabh Pant’s 93 runs were enough for the Men in Blue to score 314 runs. Thus, they managed to take a lead of 87 runs as Bangladesh got bundled out for 227 runs in their first innings. However, Ashwin took four wickets for 71 runs in 21.5 overs. Then, Bangladesh scored 231 runs in 70.2 overs and set a 145-run target for the visitors. 

Ashwin again took two wickets for 66 runs in 22 overs. Meanwhile, during the chase, the Men in Blue were in a spot of trouble when they lost seven wickets for 74 runs. But, Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin came up with a great partnership of 71* runs to ensure team India’s victory. Iyer scored 29* runs off 46 balls, including four boundaries while Ashwin remained not out on 42* runs off 62 balls, including four boundaries and one six. Mehidy Hasan Miraz took five wickets but still, it went in vain.
