One cricketer whose Twitter account is worth following is Jofra Archer. His Twitter is a delight for cricket fans. So often, cricket fans have shared Jofra Archer's old Tweets on social media because they are relatable to current events. The same happened on Day 1 of the third Test between India and South Africa.
The Indian captain Virat Kohli, who missed the second Test against South Africa due to a back spasm returned to the third Test match. He won the toss and elected to bat. However, the decision backfired as India lost a couple of early wickets which allowed Kohli to walk out sooner than he would have wanted.
Kohli managed to stitch a decent partnership along with Cheteshwar Pujara of 62 runs. Pujara departed after scoring 43 runs off 77 balls. Ajinkya Rahane made only nine runs and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant made 27 runs off 50 balls. While wickets kept falling at one end, Kohli managed to hold on to the other end. He scored his 28th half-century in the match which came off 157 deliveries, and was the second-slowest of his career. Kohli looked pretty set in the middle and was cruising towards the three-figure mark but he nicked an outside the off-stump delivery bowled by Kagiso Rabada and the story of grit and resistance came to an end.
After Kohli was dismissed for 79 off 201 balls, Archer’s old tweet made on December 1, 2013, resurfaced. The tweet read:
Got to score a ton somehow :|
