Jofra Archer's elbow issue, which sidelined him for a period of over a year, appears to be bothering him once more. The England bowler missed four straight games after playing in Mumbai Indians' season-opening match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) before returning to the field against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 22.

Archer's absence was first attributed to "a little niggle," according to head coach Mark Boucher, but it has since come to light that the right-arm speedster saw an elbow expert in Belgium and underwent a "little procedure." The England and Wales Cricket Board verified that Archer had been to Belgium to see his doctor. It is believed that Archer underwent "a minor procedure" following the specialist's evaluation before departing for India.

On Saturday against Punjab, Archer made his return to the MI uniform and didn't appear to be in any pain as he completed all four of his overs, while occasionally hitting 145 kph. He was subsequently given a break before Tuesday's game against Gujarat Titans, which the team lost by a score of 55 runs. According to the rumours, he will play again this weekend against the Rajasthan Royals and was rested against Gujarat Titans as a precautionary measure.

What did Jofra Archer tweet about these reports?

After the news of Jofra Archer seeing an elbow expert in Belgium broke out, Jofra Archer took to Twitter to make a bold statement. He tweeted, “Putting out an article without knowing the facts & without my consent is crazy. Who ever the reporter is shame on you, an already worrying and troubling time for a player and you exploit it for your personal gain, it’s people like you that are the problem.”

Jofra Archer hasn’t made a significant impact on the Mumbai Indians' bowling and has gotten only one wicket and has gone for a heap of runs in the two matches he has played this season. Mumbai would be hoping Archer gets back to full fitness soon as he is a vital cog in the Mumbai Indians bowling line-up and his presence can mean a lot to the team
