Fans were treated to an absolute cracker of a contest on Monday. It was Bangalore who defeated Lucknow by 18 runs. However, one of the major highlights of the game was the 19th over of the second innings.

It saw Josh Hazlewood put the final nail in Lucknow's coffin. He managed to dismiss the dangerous Marcus Stoinis in the second ball of the over. However, his first ball saw a lot of drama as well. While he bowled a delivery that was seemingly wide, the umpire felt otherwise. It is to be noted that Stoinis had shuffled. Thus, Chris Gaffaney felt that it was a legitimate delivery.

This didn't sit well with Stoinis as he was visibly angry. In the next ball, Hazlewood cleaned him up, and the explosive all-rounder was absolutely frustrated on losing his wicket. After the completion of the game, Hazlewood spoke about how he was lucky to get away with a wide.

“I tried to turn around and get back to my mark as quick as I could. I got pretty lucky on that one so I might have to get him a beer after that. Wankhede has got nice bounce but here at the DY the bounce is unreal with the new ball. If you get it right you can create opportunities in those first few overs. We have got a well rounded bowling attack and we cover all bases," said Josh Hazlewood.

In the meanwhile, the Aussie speedster had heaps of praises for Faf du Plessis. He appreciated him for his 64-ball 96. Besides, the Bangalore captain went on to win the player of the match award for his scintillating performance as well.

"It's always a challenge there at the end when batters are coming hard but we obviously had that big side there to try to use and I thought we used it pretty well all night. Faf's been brewing. He's had a few lean games coming off but tonight he took his time and kept the score going along and finished with a bang, so credit to him,” he added.
