Sanju Samson posted an image on his social media handle, which became viral on the internet. The Indian wicketkeeper batter took to his Instagram account and added an image with the caption "With Team India at God's own country!!" and expressed his excitement regarding India's campaign in the ODI World Cup 2023. The Instagram post of Samson got the attention of the fans.
India arrived in Thiruvananthapuram for the practice match against the Netherlands. Due to heavy rains in Kerala throughout the last week or so, the match between India and Netherlands could not happen and got washed out due to the interruption of rain without a single ball being bowled. In fact, all the games at the venue ended without a result due to bad weather.
Before the practice match, Indian players were found in the nets in Trivandrum. Some of the players like Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Siraj, Shardul Thakur, and others were seen practising ahead of the match. At the venue, a poster of Samson was on the walls of the stadium, which caught the attention of the fans. Samson posted the image of the Indian players practising along with the wall poster.

The Instagram post of Samson is similar to Ambati Rayudu's 3D tweet in 2019, which he posted following the snub from the Indian squad from the ODI World Cup 2019.
Samson was one of the best Indian batters in the last year or so. Before the big tournament, Samson was one of the front runners to be in the Indian squad. But in a shocking move, the Indian selectors and management did not consider Samson for the Asia Cup 2023 squad, for the ODI World Cup 2023 squad, and for the ODI series against Australia. The fans of Samson are still disappointed with the fact that he is not in the Indian squad.
