On Thursday, the match between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Royal Challengers Bangalore took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The scoring continued throughout the second innings as Virat Kohli with Faf du Plessis immediately hit top speed. The pair put together a formidable 172-run opening stand. Kohli rediscovered his form with a scorching 100 from 63 balls that included 12 fours and 4 sixes. Du Plessis scored 71 runs off just 46 deliveries, including seven fours plus two sixes.
The SRH bowling team was under siege from the very beginning. They put their heads down as they scored the runs for their team despite the difficult pitch. Kohli played some amazing cricket but wasn’t able to finish off the game as he would have desired. Maxwell and Bracewell ensured they took the side home in a crucial game for their side. RCB now face a stern test at the hands of the Gujarat Titans in their last league game of the season at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium.
