In a piece of disappointing news for star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson, he has faced another omission from the Indian squad. Now, the selectors have ignored him while picking the squad of India for the upcoming three-match home ODI series against Australia, starting on Friday, September 22 with the first ODI at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.

Meanwhile, Sanju Samson took his official Facebook account to come up with a cryptic which is being considered in the context of his omission from the Indian squad for the ODIs against Australia ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023 in their own backyard.

Sanju just posted a single smiling emoji in his recent post on Facebook. The post uploaded by the Kerala wicketkeeper-batter is also making rounds on social media as soon the fans came to know about the same.

India squad for the first two ODIs against Australia:

KL Rahul (C & WK), Ravindra Jadeja (Vice-captain), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Shardul Thakur, Washington Sundar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna.

India squad for the third ODI against Australia:

Rohit Sharma (C), Hardik Pandya (Vice-captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel*, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj.

Notably, Sanju Samson has been out of the senior squad of Team India on a couple of big bilateral assignments. However, he has been included in India’s second-string squads for the bilateral assignments against teams like Ireland and West Indies.

The fans and cricket experts were expecting his inclusion in the ODI squad of India for the upcoming home ODI series against the Aussies. But unfortunately, the selectors overlooked the 28-year-old once again and he’ll be just watching the game without being in action there in the middle.
