The star SRH pacer Umran Malik has fallen on the receiving end of some harsh trolls on the micro-blogging site Twitter after a poor outing in the recently-concluded match against Mumbai Indians. Notably, it was the last league match of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023.
After a long wait in the season, the SRH management picked Umran in the playing XI but he failed to live up to the expectations as he conceded 41 runs only in 3 overs with a horrific economy rate of 13.66 and went wicketless. The young J&K bowler made his entry into Indian cricket as one of the fastest bowlers ever played for India.
Subsequently, a section of the cricket fans didn’t take too much time and came up with some hard and fast-lined trolling remarks for the 23-year-old. They took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and trolled Umran Malik for his poor performance for SRH in the clash against the five-time champions Mumbai Indians.
Here’s how fans reacted:

Umran Malik - Speed thrills, but kills. Even after knowing this, surprisingly all veteran cricket pundits still back him and question SRH selection 🤷♂️ @bhogleharsha @SunRisers @srhfansofficial #IPL2O23

Umran Malik is prime example that one good season of IPL shouldn't be the criteria for the selection in Indian Cricket team

Speaking of the action of the match between the SRH and the hosts, Hyderabad’s opening pair of Vivrant Sharma and Mayank Agarwal stitched a brilliant opening partnership of 140 runs for the first wicket in 13.5 overs. Akash Madhwal scalped four wickets for MI alongside one wicket claimed by Chris Jordan. While chasing the target, Mumbai Indians comfortably chased down the total and crossed the line in 18 overs to win the match by a big margin of eight wickets scoring 201 runs for the loss of only two wickets. The young number three batter Cameron Green smashed a swashbuckling century and scored 100 runs off just 47 balls with eight fours and the same number of sixes to his name.
