All-rounder Krunal Pandya and his wife Pankhuri have welcomed a baby boy. The Mumbai cricketer shared the news on social media by posting a picture with his wife on Sunday. Pandya has named his son, 'Kavir Krunal Pandya'. The child is the second in the family after Agastya, who is the son of Hardik and Natasa Stankovic. The older brother of the two, Krunal, often shares photos and videos of him and Agastya on social media.

The left-handed all-rounder is quite fond of his nephew. Notably, he is married to Pankhuri since 2017 after dating for quite a few years. She is often seen cheering for her husband in the stands either during India or the Indian T20 League games. The 31-year-old played his last international match in July 2021 against Sri Lanka. This year, he played for the 2022 Indian T20 League debutants, Lucknow.
Talking about his international career, he has played five ODIs and 19 T20Is since 2018. In the 50-over format, he has 130 runs at an average of 65 and two wickets to his name. As far as T20Is are concerned, he has 124 runs and 15 wickets to his name in the shortest format. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya has managed to carve a more successful career in International cricket.
After being appointed as the captain of Gujarat in Indian T20 League, Pandya has improved by leaps and bounds. The right-hander has been rested for the ongoing limited-overs tour of the West Indies.
Either he might return for the ODI series against Zimbabwe or in the Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates, next month. The Zimbabwe series might see a lot of second-choice players, although Virat Kohli is also expected to return. However, their might be a chance that Krunal might get the opportunity to play for India. The squad for the three-match series is yet to be announced and the series will start on August 18.
