India left-arm medium pacer, Arshdeep Singh has been in the news in the last couple of days for mixed reasons. It all started after he dropped an important catch of Asif Ali off Ravi Bishnoi at short third-man. This proved costly for India as they lost the game. After the game, a lot of memes making fun of Singh surfaced on social media.

Most of them were harmless in nature. However, things took an ugly turn when a lot of hate comments, particularly addressing 'Khalistani' started flooding on Twitter. Initially, it seemed that the Indian fans weren't able to digest the defeat and took their mickey out on the youngster. However, it was later reported that the tweets were made by users in Pakistan.

In the midst of all this, a lot of celebrities and cricketers stood up for the Punjab player. A lot of Twitter users bashed the trollers on the micro-blogging sites. Meanwhile, a leading automobile platform from Pakistan has offered free car inspection service to the left-arm pacer. The company created a graphic of the ad which has been doing rounds on social media.

This offer has come at a time when Pakistan is accused of spreading hatred against Arshdeep Singh. It will be interesting to see what happens next in the entire episode.

Arshdeep Singh's Wikipedia page tampered

It is reported that after the game, the former India U19 player's Wikipedia page was tampered with in a derogatory manner. Apparently, some of the words such as India and his name were replaced with 'Khalistan' and 'Major Arshdeep Singh Bajwa'. Reacting to this, the company has said that they don't have an editorial policy which is why people can tamper with whatever information they want. The Indian Government has asked for an explanation from the company on the matter.
