In a recent piece of news regarding the concern of Asia Cup 2023 hosting, Pakistan is most likely to host the tournament. But their arch-rivals and neighbors, India are still stuck on a very hard and fast-lined stance of ‘not playing in Pakistan’. With said that, another foreign venue could come into the picture to host the matches of Team India.
Notably, the tournament will be back in the ODI format again with six participating teams; India and Pakistan will be in the same group. Qualifiers will also be played before the main round of the tournament.
Subsequently, Indian cricket fans being Indians as always, took to Twitter to brutally troll Pakistan as they are looking on the backfoot currently. Fans trolled the Pakistan Cricket Board followed by taunts on the security issues in Pakistan.
Here’s how fans reacted:

A report in ESPNcricinfo has also learned that “a small working group has been formed with the brief of creating a schedule and travel plan agreeable to all participating countries as well as the broadcaster before a final call is taken. The weather is likely to play a key role in determining the second venue outside of Pakistan, though there will be keenness among the Asian venues to host high-profile India-Pakistan games.”
Apart from that, the Pakistan Cricket Board chief Najam Sethi also came up with a statement seeking support from the other cricketing members of the Asian Cricket’s governing body.
“It's important to see how other members (of ACC) look at our stance on Asia Cup. What they think is important, but in the end, we must realize how much clout the BCCI with its financial power carries in world cricket,” said Sethi in a press conference last Saturday before the commencement of the meeting of Asian Cricket’s governing body alongside the governing body of international cricket.
