The young tennis prodigy from Belarus, Aryna Sabalenka has finally accomplished her dream by clinching the title of the 2023 Australian Open women’s singles. She locked horns with the Russia-born young Kazakhstani right-handed Elena Rybakina in the final of the tournament. Rybakina and Sabalenka played this match at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.
Notably, it was the first time when Sabalenka crossed the jinx of the semi-finals of the last three grand slams including Wimbledon 2021, US Open 2021, and US Open 2022. She finally finished across the line this time and lifted the title of the women’s singles in the Australian Open 2023.

Speaking of the action of the final match between Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka, the latter dominated the match from the second set and maintained her winning lead till the end of the match. Sabalenka had 17 aces in comparison to 9 earned by Rybakina whereas the Belarus star make it 66% for the first serve in the match, 2% more than her counterpart.
Sabalenka also succeeded in winning percentage on the second serve by making it to 53% whereas it was only 41% for Elena Rybakina.
Interestingly, Sabalenka was trailing by 0-1 after losing the first set (4-6) to the 23-year-old but later on, she didn’t give any chance to the latter and won the match by 4-6, 6-3, and 6-4.
