Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals locked horns in the 32nd match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The visitors’ skipper Sanju Samson won the flip of the coin and decided to bowl first. Batting first, the Royal Challengers managed to post a total of 189 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Later, Rajasthan Royals took the match till the last ball but unfortunately, they couldn’t go over the line and scored losing by a close margin of seven runs. Later on, the ardent RCB fans were also elated and ecstatic following the team’s third win in the sixth match of the tournament they played so far.

Fans took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to come up with a lot of interesting and appreciative reactions to the RCB’s performance and the captaincy of Virat Kohli in the second innings while defending the target.

Talking about the entire action of the match, the star batter Glenn Maxwell and skipper Faf Plessis smashed brilliant half-centuries to take RCB to a total of 189 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the first innings of the game. Maxwell played a blistering knock of 77 runs off just 44 balls with six boundaries and four sixes to his name; on the other hand, skipper Du Plessis also played an important knock of 62 runs off 39 balls with eight boundaries and two sixes on his credit.

Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma scalped two wickets each for Rajasthan Royals alongside one wicket each claimed by Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin.

While chasing the target, the young batters Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal stitched an all-important partnership of 98 runs for the second wicket. Padikkal scored a half-century and played a knock of 52 runs off 34 balls with seven boundaries and a six to his name. Other than him, Jaiswal also contributed with 47 runs with five boundaries and two sixes with the wood.

Although their efforts went in vain and the visitors failed to cross the finishing line and lost the match by seven runs scoring 182 runs for the loss of six wickets in the entire 20 overs.
