The Indian T20 League is a mega tournament that takes place every year in India. Players from all around the globe come to the country to represent their respective franchises. However, in the last edition of the tournament, the Gujarat franchise won it. Now, ahead of the Indian T20 League 2023, a mini-auction will happen in mid-December.
Meanwhile, Mumbai is the most successful franchise in the history of the tournament. Under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, this franchise has managed to win this tournament five times. But, in the last edition, Mumbai finished last with just four wins out of 14 matches. So, ahead of the next season, this team is looking to make a strong squad this time around for a better performance.

As per reports, the Mumbai franchise has already confirmed the final list of their foreign players for the next season. The franchise is most likely to retain veteran Kieran Pollard (West Indies), Jofra Archer ((England), Tim David (Australia), Tristan Stubbs (South Africa), and Dewald Brevis (South Africa).
However, reports have also suggested that they are looking to release some players also. Mumbai might release Fabian Allen (New Zealand), Daniel Sams (Australia), Riley Meredith (Australia), and Tymal Mills (England). So, fans of this franchise will look for such changes ahead of the next Indian T20 League. However, nothing has come out still officially from the franchise itself.
However, the Indian Cricket Board have already asked all franchise to submit retained players' final list by 15 November 2022. According to previous reports, the tentative date for that auction might be 16 December 2022. However, the transfer/trade window will remain open till one week before the auction. Then, it will re-open after the conclusion of the proposed auction in mid-December. According to several reports to Cricbuzz, the salary purse for the auction will be INR 95 crore.
