Australia's off-spinner Nathan Lyon has tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Emma McCarthy in a romantic ceremony. The duo exchanged marriage vows in front of family and friends. Lyon shared a photo on his official Instagram handle in which Emma wore a beaded wedding gown that featured a plunging sheer neckline and belt. On the other hand, the groom wore a black tuxedo, white buttoned shirt, and black bow tie.
The couple was rumored to have gotten engaged in early 2021 after the bride was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger. Aussie leading spinner in Tests started dating the real estate agent in 2017, right after his controversial split with ex-wife Mel Waring which shook the cricket community. Notably, the relationship between the two came out in public when they were caught kissing in Perth in late 2017 while Nathan was still with his ex.
Nathan and Mel have two children from their marriage and the latter shared the details of her split in a post on her blog, Life of Lyons, in March 2018. The mother of the two children revealed the nights when she would take her children to sleep and cry.
'I didn't ask for this, this wasn't the way my life was supposed to be. He was my forever, he was my whole world,' she wrote in a blog.
